Reactivate an existing phone line
Already have a phone line but it just needs reactivating?
We only charge £39.95 (same as new line installation), when placing your order simply select 'new line'.
Our provisioning team will check if there is a stopped line at the property and if so they will get that restarted immediately and add the broadband service (if applicable) which will usually start 7 to 10 days later. The charge for restarting a stopped line is the same charge as a new line installation (£39.95) so you won't have any additional charges but it will mean you won't have to wait 6 to 8 weeks as is the current lead time during the COVID-19 crisis.
Transfers of live lines continue as normal (14 to 17 days).
Just moved in and need a telephone line reactivating? We can reactivate an existing phone line if Openreach have not taken away the routing between your property and the exchange. In many instances they may have done and we will need to arrange an engineer to attend the exchange and the local cabinet.
